Broadcast Television

Broadcast television, generally referred to simply as television, is a telecommunication agent that transfers and receives moving pictures, either in color or black-and-white. There are two ways that programming is brought to the home audience. One way is first run programming. First run programming is the term given to a show that is bought or produced by a specific network or station and then aired on their normal schedule. The second form of programming is broadcast syndication. This programming can be both domestic and international and is comprised of second run (or more) programs that have been sold to other stations under a contract.
