Frequency
Frequency is the measurement of how many cycles per unit of time occur. The common notation for frequency is the Hertz (Hz). In calculating frequency, 1 kHz (kilohertz) is equal to 1000 Hz. In relation to sound, frequency is displayed as a rolling wave and is the key element that determines the pitch of a sound.
