Music for YouTube Videos
Need Music for YouTube Videos?
What started out as a great place to upload videos of your cat falling into the fishtank or your kid hitting his first little league home run, YouTube has become a valuable resource to businesses and organizations needing to communicate with their customers and the world.
If you create and upload videos to YouTube, you may have become aware that there can be some sticky problems regarding the music you use in your video. This is due to the fact that YouTube came under pressure from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and from the big four record labels. As you can imagine, none of the big labels wanted their copyrighted music being illegally synchronized with videos and posted to YouTube.
YouTube has had to be very careful about what music they allow on the site. If you simply pull a song from the recent Radiohead CD, you are likely to have the audio portion of your video removed, or worse yet, your entire video removed from the system. The proper method to using popular music for your video is to contact the publisher and negotiate a price to synchronize the copyrighted song as well as the master recording. This can be outrageously expensive, and unless you are Apple or Microsoft, it probably isn't gonna happen.
So what can you do?
There are a number of options which include creating your own music track using Garage Band or Acid Loops, finding a local artist to let you use their music, or licensing tracks from a music library or publisher that YouTube is familiar with.
All of the music available here at Royalty Free Music Library is cleared for use at YouTube. Our music has been ingested into the YouTube audio recognition program so that your video will not be muted or turned off. So once you have licensed a track or a group of tracks from this website, you are welcome to use the music for YouTube videos.
