Teleplay
A teleplay is the name given to a drama or comedy that is specifically written or altered for television. The term originated in the 1950s in order to make a distinction between stage-plays and screenplays. Teleplays are generally the same in form as screenplays, but running time and defined lengths of each acts (to allow for commercial breaks) are two differences.
