Tenor
The word tenor describes a register of the male signing voice. This register is at the highest point of the modal voice. Generally a tenor’s range will rest in between the octave below middle C to the A above middle C (C3 and A4, respectively).The word tenor can also refer to an instrument to distinguish them from other instruments (i.e. tenor saxophone).
