Unfortunately, Google was able to collect 7 million “signatures” to protest SOPA legislation. Citing that the bill would censor the web, a number of major sites protested enough to have 13 of the lawmakers who initially partnered with the legislation to remove their support.
SOPA may not the best way to attack piracy, but it is a start- a much needed start. The bill is scheduled for a procedural vote today.
